  • I'm willing to try most anything you can suggest, but if it involves a window, check yourself to see if "ok" or "finish" at the bottom is required. To reduce the Windows font size in Windows 10, follow the steps below. Unless you can figure something out, I need a senior member to advise me, even though this seems like a totally simplistic problem. Do you know a way to hide/close the task far at the bottom of the screen? That might give me a little more room.Īs to the other suggestion, about changing the resolution, how would I do that? I have the feeling that this problem may require commands rather than working through windows, and I have no expertise in that.

I'm afraid with anything involving a window in which I must check a box at the bottom, i won't be able to do that. I did reboot just in case it would take effect, but of course it didn't. There was no "finish" available as in XP. There may have been a point lower down on the page that said "ok" or "apply," but if so I couldn't reach it because I could not move the window up any further, nor my pointer down below the task far at the bottom. The screen said it had created the restore date. I tried system restore, which I've often done on my other computer that uses Windows XP, but this is what occured: I went to system restore, was able to barely see and click "create a restore point," and created one by typing in the date of the day before I made the change.

Will someone please tell me how to undo this mess! I'm posting this from my desktop computer because it's so hard to work with the laptop with Vista, but anything you post to me, I can read here. Now I can't get rid of this awful humongous type size! I'm sure there must be another avenue to approach it or to undo what I've done, but I can't find the way because I'm new to Vista. Because of the size of the window, the bottom is blocked by the task bar and I cannot reach "ok.' I have tried to move the screen up, but it still won't reveal the "ok," so when I "x" out of the window, it doesn't apply. So back I went to "personalize" and opened the same window to reduce the DPI, clicked on " regular" button, and moved down to "ok" it so it would apply. It seemed reasonable when I viewed the sample, but when I applied it, the icons and start menu fill the entire page-it was way too excessive and I wanted to undo it. I know this will sound ridiculous, but because I have somewhat poor vision, I went to the "personalize" window on my laptop running Vista and raised the DPI (basically font size) from a larger size to a Custom even larger size.
